Responsible Play

Play mystery boxes responsibly — set limits, know the risks, and find support resources.

Last updated August 15, 2026

Play for entertainment only

Online mystery boxes are entertainment products, not a way to make money. The expected value of a box is set below its price. Only ever spend money you can comfortably afford to lose.

18+ only

Mystery box platforms are intended for adults aged 18 or over (21+ in some regions). Do not use these platforms if you are under the legal age where you live.

Set limits and stick to them

  • Decide on a fixed budget before you start.
  • Never chase losses.
  • Take regular breaks.
  • Treat any prize as a bonus, not an expectation.

Getting support

If gambling or spending is becoming a problem for you or someone you know, free, confidential help is available. Contact a recognised support service in your country — for example, the National Council on Problem Gambling (US) or GamCare (UK). If you feel you need to stop, stop.

Our position

We cover these platforms to help readers make informed choices, and we score trust and fairness heavily in our methodology. We will always prioritise reader safety over commercial interests.
